The School Election Project 2011, Survey among Pupils

Since 1989, school elections have been held at the upper secondary schools in Norway in connection with parliamentary, municipal and county council elections. The school election is an important part of the election campaign of the party political youth organizations. The purpose is nevertheless first and foremost to be a pedagogical tool in the work of increasing political competence and interest among young people. The present data file was from a survey conducted at the same time as the school election in 2011. At the schools that participate in the school election survey, students first vote in the school election and then answer the survey.

30,758 students from 155 schools answered the questions in the 2011 election survey.

Based on the variables "county" and "education program", we have in this file tried to make the data somewhat more representative of the population "students in upper secondary education in the autumn of 2011".
