Dataset used for the analyses in the research article "Reframing aging through grandmother figures in children’s literature". The selection comprised only books intended for children aged three to eight, covering two prize categories of the French Chronos Prize. Of the 80 books shortlisted between 2016 and 2025, just twenty-five featured an older woman as a character; these titles thus formed the final sample. The files are formatted as follows: name of the book_author name_published date
