Distribution of parvalbumin-positive neurons in the developing mouse brain (v3)

This dataset contains high-resolution images of coronal sections showing parvalbumin-expressing neurons across the developing mouse brain. A total of 45 mice aged postnatal day (P) 9, 14, 21 and 35 were used in this study. Parvalbumin was visualized in every sixth section using DAB immunohistochemistry with a monoclonal rabbit anti parvalbumin antibody (RRID:AB_2631173). Neighboring sections from the same subjects stained for calbindin are available from a separate dataset [(Bjerke et al., 2026)](https://doi.org/10.25493/ND61-ZCJ). The data can be used to investigate the developmental trajectory of parvalbumin neurons in the rabbit brain, and may be compared to our previously published data from adult [(Laja et al., 2026)](https://doi.org/) acquired using the same techniques.
