Corpus of Scandinavian-Influenced Place-Names in East Anglia, 2012-2023

This collection comprises a corpus, or tabulated survey, providing detailed linguistic, geographical and archaeological information about the 320 Scandinavian-influenced place-names which have been identified in East Anglia. Data was created between 2012 and 2023. The corpus contains a separate entry for each Scandinavian-influenced place-name and underlies the textual analysis and maps presented in the book 'Viking Migration and Settlement in East Anglia: The Place-name Evidence' by David Boulton, published by Windgather Press in 2023.
