资源简介:

These are the data used as part of Marshall et al., 2026. Roe Deer show an affinity for woodland and reluctance to cross roads. [[MANUSCRIPT IN PREP]]. All data is cropped to the locations of interest, and projected in OSGB36 / British National Grid - United Kingdom Ordnance Survey (EPSG:27700). Raster data is presented at a resolution of 25m. All mentions of Wessex can be interpreted as Hampshire, as used in corresponding preprint. landuseWessex.tif and landuseAberdeen.tif contain information on the simplified land use types in both landscapes. The translation from the original UKCEH land cover data (https://catalogue.ceh.ac.uk/id/ab10ea4a-1788-4d25-a6df-f1aff829dfff) is contained in reclassificationUKCEH.csv. distanceHedgesAberdeen.tif and distanceHedgesWessex.tif are derived from UKCEH Woody linear features (https://catalogue.ceh.ac.uk/id/d7da6cb9-104b-4dbc-b709-c1f7ba94fb16) and represent the distances of each cell from a hedgerow. distanceWoodlandWessex.tif and distanceWoodlandAberdeen.tif are derived from UKCEH land cover data (https://catalogue.ceh.ac.uk/id/ab10ea4a-1788-4d25-a6df-f1aff829dfff) classed as Deciduous woodland or Coniferous woodland, and cells contain the distance from either woodland type. patchesAberdeen.geoJSON and patchesWessex.geoJSON contain the polygon data describing the woodland patches in each landscape. roadsAberdeen.geoJSON and roadsWessex.geoJSON are the cropped and processed road polyline data originally derived from OS Road data (https://osdatahub.os.uk/downloads/open/OpenRoad). Grid squares NO, NJ, SU, ST, SZ, and SY were originally downloaded to create these cropped files. deerMovementData_processed.csv is the resampled deer movement data. Full un-resampled data can be obtained from Movebank (https://www.movebank.org): Aberdeenshire Roe Deer Movebank ID 2890266958; New Forest, Hampshire Roe Deer Movebank ID 8086497234. The columns contain the following: x and y are the location of the individual deer in ESPG 27700 datetime is the date and time of the location recorded YYYY-mm-dd HH:MM:SS. Time zone is GMT or BST depending on the time of year. Name is the code name of the collar worn by the deer. Date and Time columns are the same as datetime, but separately stored. Latitude and Longitude are the decimal degrees of the GPS location. They are the basis for the x and y projected coordinates. Power is the remaining power of the collar at that point in time. nSats is the number of satelittles available for the GPS location fix. Sex is the sex of the deer. M = male, F = female. Patch.ID connects the capture location to the woodland patch. See patch polygon files. region is which landscape the deer was located within. Either Aberdeenshire or Wessex. spp is the common name of the deer species timelag is dervived from datetime and is the gap between location fixes in seconds Animal_ID is a unique ID per individual that includes information on sex epsg holds the projection system used in x and y step is the distance between current and previous locations in metres. Calculated from x and y data. speed_ms is the average speed in metres per second required for the deer to move between locations. Calculated from step and timelag.
