The genetic architecture of resistance to flubendiamide insecticide in Helicoverpa armigera

This project aimed to understand the genetic basis of resistance in the cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera to the insecticide flubendiamide. The DNA of a set of H. armigera samples collected from a cotton crop in the Barreiras region of Bahia, Brazil, was sequenced to conduct a genome-wide association study (GWAS). Additionally, the total DNA of a set of samples from a backcross population, along with their grandparents (resistant and susceptible) and parents (heterozygous and susceptible), was sequenced to conduct a QTL mapping.
