Metaviromic analysis of South African sweet potato

The project has made use of Illumina HiSeq technology to perform metaviromic analyses of sweet potato plants from the north-eastern provinces of South Africa. The primary aim of this project is to determine which RNA viruses are associated with subsistence sweet potato producers in the country, in order to implement more stringent control strategies and improve yield.
