The beacons detect the exact position of the train so that the maximum authorised speed can be determined. The system will also monitor and correct driving errors (by correcting the speed on arrival near a red signal, for example, or by initiating emergency braking). Through the TEN-T programme (Trans-European Transport Network) and the CEF programme (Connecting Europe Facilities), we have already received financial support from the European Union to secure our railway network with ETCS
