Sun Bear Data

We synthesised new and previously published camera-trap detections of sun bears to test responses to habitat degradation at multiple spatial scales. We used MaxEnt species distribution models to conduct regional presence-only mapping, GLMMs to assess among-landscape variation in sun bear relative abundance using count data from 93 camera trap studies, and hierarchical modelling to assess within-landscape variation in relative abundance using detection histories from 19 camera surveys at eight landscapes. We also compared sun bear diel activity patterns in degraded and non-degraded forests.The README file explains which dataset was used for each analysis.
