The modification of the intestinal microecosystem may contribute to the prophylaxis and progression of postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP). Mounting experimental data implies that icarrin (ICA) could emerge as a promising therapeutic candidate for the management of PMOP. Nevertheless, considering its restricted bioavailability, this study aims to investigate whether ICA mitigates osteoporosis by modulating the gut microbiota (GM).
