Allohexaploid intermediate wheatgrass (IWG, 2n = 6x = 42, Thinopyrum intermedium (Host) Barkworth & D.R. Dewey, syn. Agropyron intermedium) is a perennial Triticeae species and considered as important natural gene pools for wheat genetic improvement and forage breeding. We performed whole genome sequencing and assembly of Thinopyrum intermedium by combining PacBio HiFi and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture sequencing (Hi-C) sequencing technologies.
