Corporate Trustee and Executor Fee Schedules (2026): the minimum is the real price
收藏资源简介:
9 published corporate trustee and executor fee schedules from 7 banks and trust companies, each transcribed from the institution's own document with the URL fetched and the effective date printed on it. The finding: corporate trustee pricing is quoted as a percentage of assets, but on a modest estate the stated minimum annual fee is what is actually paid. At one institution's own stated minimum account size of $500,000, a headline 0.65% would be $3,250 - but the $5,500 minimum applies instead, an effective 1.10%, nearly 70% above the advertised rate. Every retrieved schedule with a minimum behaves this way, so the useful question is at what account size the minimum stops binding. Also recorded: executor and trustee work is priced on entirely different mechanics at the same institutions (a one-time percentage of the estate versus a recurring rate on assets); what the headline percentage excludes; the New York and California statutory executor schedules; and a list of nine institutions attempted and excluded - including one whose schedule was found on a host of unconfirmed ownership and deliberately not used.
