Arctic Oil Spill Risk Assessment (OSRA) modeling input parameters and data, with vessel and community use data spanning 1995 to 2014
收藏资源简介:
This dataset comprehends several data streams that were united in a synthesis project to create an interactive tool modeling the effect of oil spill on coastal arctic communities and their subsistence harvests. Axiom Data Science acquired Automatic Identification System (AIS) information for vessel traffic in the area, partnered with Stephen R. Braund & Associates (SRB&A) to aggregate subsistence use data, and compared these data with the results of ~90,000 simulations of NOAAs GNOME oil spill model (https://github.com/NOAA-ORR-ERD/PyGnome). The target area was northern Alaska, between the communities of Utqiagvik, Nuiqsut and Kaktovik. These data are presented here as raw csv files for vessel information for area traffic from 2009 to 2014, release point grid and 'seed' information for the GNOME model as csv files, and subsistence harvest information in these areas from 1995-2006. Subsistence harvest data is highly sensitive, and thus only aggregated, statistically normalized tif files are shared here. More information can be found at: https://aoos.org/project/arctic-oil-spill-assessment/ or https://osra.axds.co/. Information on the code that was used to create these model results and tif files is available at https://github.com/axiom-data-science/oil-spill-risk-assessment.
