We investigated the transcriptional profile in Drosophila wing and haltere imaginal discs to identify differentialy expressed genes between the two tissues. Whole RNA was isolated from wing and haltere imaginal discs dissected from Drosophila L3 larvae and libraries prepared using NEBNext® UltraTM Directional RNA Library Prep Kit. Sequencing was carried out on Illumina Hiseq platform using 150*2 paired end chemistry. All experiments were carried out on three independnt biological replicates. edgeR was used to identify differentially expressed genes.
