Prokaryotic rRNA Depletion. Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv

This sequencing was carried out to assess the efficacy of rRNA depletion by RiboZero (Epicenter). Total RNA was isolated from single /E. coli/ K-12 or /Mycobacterium tuberculosis/ H37rv cultures in LB in mid-log growth. Illumina libraries were constructed from this RNA following depletion of ribosomal RNA using the RiboZero Gram-negative kit (for /E. coli/) or Gram-positive (for /M. tuberculosis/) kits (Epicenter). These libraries were sequenced in a single lane of Illumina HiSeq 2000 multiplexed with several others to yield 76 paired end reads.
