Clinical and biological relevance of the transcriptomic-based prostate cancer metastasis subtypes MetA-C

Transcriptomic profiling of metastasis tissue samples obtained from prostate cancer patients was performed using Clariom D human arrays. Freshly-frozen bone metastasis samples (n=103) were obtained from spine (n=77), crista (n=22), lymph nodes (n=3) or dermis (n=1), as hormone-naive (n=17), short-term castrated (n=21) or castration resistant (n=65) from a total of 67 patients. RNA was profiled using the Clariom D human arrays (ThermoFisher Scientific Inc., Life Technologies).
