The Bimini Islands are situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, and are the closest archipelago to the American mainland within the Bahamas. Geographically, they range from 25°14′05″N to 25°46′45″N and 79°18′51″W to 79°08′56″W. The Bimini Islands are composed of 38 islands and islets including North Bimini Island, South Bimini Island, North Cat Island, South Cat Island, Gun Cay, Alex Reef and Pigeon Reef, with the smallest island or islet having an area of 333 m². The total area of the Bimini Islands is 21.69 km², and the total coastline length is 118.16 km. The largest island is North Bimini Island, which covers an area of 10.73 km². This dataset was developed based on Google Earth remote sensing satellite images and related maps. It is stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with a compressed data size of 473 KB.
