资源简介:
This survey is carried out on the basis of the research collaboration in "The International Social Survey Programme" (ISSP). ISSP is an international organisation that prepares and coordinates annual surveys in its member countries, mainly within the fields of political science and sociology. The topic of the surveys varies, but are repeated at intervals of a few years. In this way, changes in behavioral patterns and attitudes over time as well as differences between countries and cultures,
are possible to be detected and measured.
The Norwegian Social Science Data Services (NSD) became a member of ISSP in 1989 and have since been responsible for carrying out the surveys in Norway. In connection to the survey, researchers are invited to add supplementary questions to the Norwegian respondents.
In 2004, the objective of the survey was to collect data on societal participation, the defining qualities of a good citizen, political participation and interest, tolerance for radical groups/ideas, attitudes to and perceptions of democracy, presumptions of opportunities for political influence, trust in politicians and others, geographical belonging and attitudes towards UN and international organisations.
The Norwegian additional part was in 2004 developed in collaboration with Knut Heidar, Larry Rose and Anne Julie Semb, Department of Political Science, University of Oslo. Questions in the Norwegian addition concern (among other issues) use of media - news and politics on TV, political tolerance, sense of belonging, minorities and cleavages.
