This experiment took place in Danby Woodlot, at the Keele campus of York University on September 24, 2015 at 4:30pm. The temperature s was 21 °C.
The purpose of the experiment was to observe and compare trees (that were above 3 feet in height) and the closest tree next to it along the transect which was placed randomly. The diameter at breast height (DBH) for each pair was measured in feet and inches. The distance between the two trees was measured in feet and inches. The conditions of both trees were visually observed to determine the level of livingness on scale from 0-2. The sample size was 20.
The group members of group 4 including myself (Stephanie) were Amandeep, Vivian and Alexander.
