Female Sprague-Dawley rats were used for the construction of ovariectomized rat models. Rats were divided into 4 groups: ovariectomy group, ovariectomy + orange peel extract treatment group, ovariectomy + carvacrol treatment group, and sham operation group. After treatment, vaginal tissues were taken for TUNEL staining. Rat vaginal smooth muscle cells were isolated for CCK-8 and flow cytometry assays, followed by RNA-seq.
