资源简介:
Nelson's sparrow (Ammospiza nelsoni) is a small sparrow, named after Edward William Nelson, an American naturalist. Their breeding habitat is tidal, brackish and freshwater marshes on the Atlantic coast of Canada and Maine, central Canada, and the north central United States. This sample is from the Acadian subspecies (A. n. subvirgatus), which occurs in coastal Maine and Maritime Canada. This sample of a female captured and released on Mendall Marsh, Waldo County, Maine, USA, was procured by Nicole Guido and used to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). The project was coordinated by Adrienne Kovach and Lindsey Fenderson of the University of New Hampshire. Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis.
