Gulf of Alaska ROMS-COBALT Hindcast Simulation V2, 1993–2023

Gulf of Alaska Regional Oceanic Model System - Carbon, Ocean Biogeochemistry and Lower Trophic (ROMS-COBALT) hindcast model output at monthly resolution for the time spanning 1993 to 2023. The simulation was conducted by Dr. Remi Pages at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, International Arctic Research Center in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA. These hindcasts results have a horizontal resolution of 4.5 km. The hindcast simulation was conducted as part of North Pacific Research Board grant #2109. Available variables include e.g. salinity, temperature, oxygen, inorganic carbon and nutrients, Chla etc. Model results are available for exploration and download in the Gulf of Alaska Data Portal as daily (https://gulf-of-alaska.portal.aoos.org/?ls=dnXuPmyu#module-metadata/02a138f1-132f-4ab4-8a3c-394dad3f04ee) and monthly (https://gulf-of-alaska.portal.aoos.org/?ls=dnXuPmyu#module-metadata/2719530c-fc69-43d9-8d27-442f55b958ed) averages.
