Living Catalogue of Publicly Available Data Resources for the 2026 Nepal Glacier-Related Hazard Cascade
收藏资源简介:
This dataset presents the first release of a living catalogue of publicly available data and information for further research on the 26 August 2026 Langtang Lirung disaster cascade. It brings together pre-event baselines, event observations and subsequent analyses to help researchers identify and access relevant material, assess its potential uses, and build on previous discovery work. The catalogue applies a scoping-review approach to identifying resources that can support future investigations of the event. The release contains 141 resource records and 5,883 associated asset records across eight thematic domains, following 74 documented searches through 24 September 2026 and source assessment completed on 28 September. The search and charting process is reported in accordance with PRISMA-ScR. Records link sources and collections to their associated files, products, documents and services, preserving provenance, identifiers, geographic and temporal coverage, technical characteristics, access routes, reuse conditions and source limitations. The deposit includes the resource and asset inventory, search and assessment records, thematic and technical classifications, field documentation, and the data and scripts supporting catalogue analyses and figures. The online catalogue provides thematic discovery and access links, while the accompanying WebGIS enables geographic exploration where spatial information is available. Access to underlying third-party data and publications follows the provider links and conditions recorded in the catalogue. Planned maintenance combines monthly searches across all eight thematic domains and the source families covered by the review with additional checks prompted by community nominations or newly released or revised material. Newly identified resources, including older material missed by earlier searches, will undergo the same eligibility assessment. Changes in content, access or reuse conditions will prompt reassessment. Dated releases will document searches, additions, corrections and decisions while preserving earlier inventories for citation and reuse. Original catalogue metadata and documentation are licensed under CC BY 4.0; original project code is covered by the accompanying MIT licence. Third-party resources retain their original authorship, identifiers, licences and access conditions.
