Data used in the development and initial validation of the MCL-PRO-CAT

In the development and initial validation of the MCL-PRO-CAT, responses to the item bank from presbyopic patients were collected. The item refinement data file contains the responses of 75 individuals to the contact lens-related items and was used for the preliminary removal of items before the calibration study. The calibration data file includes the responses of 837 presbyopic patients to one of the two tests created; no modifications, such as category optimization, have yet been applied to this file. The validation data contains responses from multifocal contact lens users to the CAT and the CLDQ-8 questionnaire, along with details such as the time spent answering each questionnaire. Lastly, the repeatability file contains individuals' responses to the CAT on two occasions, with a time difference of at least 14 days.
