The glyoxal data record provides long-term information about vertical column densities of CHOCHO in the atmosphere. The retrieval of the product is based on GOME-2 radiance measurements in the wavelength region 405-490 nm. CHOCHO columns are given as densities (molecules/cm2). Glyoxal is an organic compound with the chemical formula C2H2O2.
The temporal coverage for Metop-A and B is as follows:
- Metop-A: 23/01/2007 - 31/12/2017
- Metop-B: 01/01/2013 - 30/06/2020
