Data for: Response of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation Strength to Precessional Forcing

This dataset contains model output used in the study “Response of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation Strength to Precessional Forcing.” The data are derived from a suite of 24 time-slice simulations performed with the AWI-ESM (Alfred Wegener Institute Earth System Model), designed to isolate the response of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) to orbital precessional forcing.
The dataset includes the Atlantic meridional overturning stream function from all 24 precession experiments. This variable is used to diagnose AMOC strength and its variability across different precessional phases. All simulations vary only in orbital precessional parameters, while all other boundary conditions and external forcings are kept fixed.
The dataset can be used to reproduce the AMOC results presented in the associated manuscript and to further analyze the sensitivity of large-scale Atlantic overturning circulation to orbital forcing.
