whole genome resequencing of downy and hairy woodpeckers for comparative analysis

Population resequencing data were generated to explore patterns of genome evolution in brood parasitic birds and their nesting/parental relatives. Downy woodpecker and hairy woodpecker are parental species in the same order (Piciformes) as the honeyguides, which are obligate brood parasites.
