Intra-amniotic infection with Ureaplasma causes preterm birth and neonatal mortality that are prevented by clarithromycin

Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma isolates were recovered from original stocks and sent to CosmosID (Rockville, MD, USA) for DNA isolation, genomic sequencing, and genome assembly. Analysis of genome scaffolds revealed that there are taxonomic differences in the Ureaplasma isolates obtained from women with intra-amniotic infection.
