Incorporated in December 2013, the London based challenger bank Revolut has grown exponentially. In February 2018, the company announced that they had hit 1.5 million customers, a figure that had grown to 18 million by 2022. Currently Revolut has the highest number of customers of any European online bank. Key markets Revolut, which is currently expanding its global operations is most popular in the United Kingdom (UK) and France, although traction is being made across other key countries including Poland and Romania. Between March 2015 and February 2023, the Revolut banking app had been downloaded more than eight million times in the UK. Forecast growth of European neobanks With the announced entrance in March 2020 in the United States market, Revolut has been forecast to see continued growth in 2021 and 2022. Other banks that have been forecast to do well in the near future are the London based Monzo bank and Berlin born N26.
