底栖生物是海洋生态系统的重要组成部分,参与营养循环、污染物新陈代谢与扩散、沉积物沉降和次级生产作用。底栖生物是栖境生态状态的良好指示物种,在评价环境污染、反应气候变化、解析海洋水层-底栖耦合生态过程等方面具有重要的生态价值与研究意义。 本数据为中国第33次南极考察长城站潮间带沉积物底栖生物分析数据,数据内容包括数量、湿重、丰度、生物量等信息,对了解南极潮间带底栖生物本地数据,探索南极底栖动物空间分布规律与主要驱动因子,探究底栖动物对全球气候变化的响应模式等方面具有重要意义。 1.采集仪器 滩涂定量框,铁锹 2.室内分析方法 使用1‰虎红染剂对箱式采泥器所获生物染色,静放24h后,用孔径为0.5mm的网筛过滤清洗干净,用解剖镜(江南NSZ608T)进行分选鉴定和计数,残体不计入数据。分选鉴定后的生物样品用滤纸吸干,用感量为0.0001g的电子天平进行称重,以湿重作为生物重量。其中,寄居蟹去壳称重,软体动物带壳称重,管栖多毛类去管称重,群体标本不计算个数。 3.观测区域 长城站周边潮间带

Benthos is a critical component of marine ecosystems, participating in nutrient cycling, pollutant metabolism and diffusion, sediment deposition, and secondary production. Benthos also serves as excellent indicator species for habitat ecological status, holding significant ecological value and research implications for evaluating environmental pollution, reflecting climate change, and elucidating marine pelagic-benthic coupled ecological processes. This dataset comprises analytical data of benthos in intertidal sediments from the Great Wall Station during the 33rd Chinese Antarctic Research Expedition, containing metrics including individual count, wet weight, abundance, and biomass. This dataset is of great importance for understanding local baseline data of Antarctic intertidal benthos, exploring the spatial distribution patterns and core driving factors of Antarctic benthic animals, and investigating the response modes of benthic animals to global climate change. 1. Collection Instruments: Quantitative intertidal quadrats, shovels 2. Laboratory Analysis Methods: Organisms collected using box corers were stained with 1‰ rose bengal stain, left to stand for 24 hours, then filtered and rinsed with a 0.5 mm aperture sieve. Sorting, identification and counting were conducted using a dissecting microscope (Jiangnan NSZ608T), with residual organisms excluded from the dataset. After sorting and identification, biological samples were blotted dry with filter paper and weighed using an electronic balance with a sensitivity of 0.0001 g, with wet weight adopted as the biomass measurement. Specifically, hermit crabs were weighed after shell removal, mollusks were weighed with their shells intact, tube-dwelling polychaetes were weighed after tube removal, and colonial specimens were not counted for individual number. 3.
