The modmiRBase dataset contains 49602 RNAs from various organisms, and is balanced in terms of class. The pre-miRNA sequences in the dataset were taken from mirbase.org and mirgenedb.org, while the non pre-miRNA sequences were taken from [14,27,31,34].
