资源简介:

In order to understand the difference in LiDAR intensity for various types of pavement markings, a mobile-mapping LiDAR data collection (more info on LiDAR vehicles can be found at: https://doi.org/10.3390/rs12091379) was conducted along a test loop in West-Lafayette, Indiana. This data collection involved 10-miles of non-interstate routes, allowing for easier close-up images and marking type validation. The pavement markings near mile marker 7.8 are thermoplastic, correlating to an average LiDAR intensity. See attached graph of LiDAR intensity along the test loop; the callout reading "New Thermoplastic" identifies the area with the thermoplastic markings. The attached data contains an arbitrary ObjectID, location data (X, Y, Z and converted Lat/Long) and Intensity. These data points only include those outlined by a filtering algorithm as the "skip line" markings. Other data sets were generated for the left and right edge lines, but were not considered as a part of this study for continuity. Published research using this data can be found at: https://doi.org/10.3390/s24206694.
