Shown as an average of the annual income for residents in the area. Consists of income from employment and business activities as well as surplus capital. The figures show gross income. In addition to salary income, income from employment also includes income from pensions, sickness benefits and other taxable compensation. Note that income that is only taxed abroad is not included. This concerns, for example, those who work in Denmark; their income is not included in the statistics. The figures are shown in current prices, which means that they are not inflation-adjusted. Shown for the group 20–64 (i.e. both gainfully employed and non-gainfully employed). The variable is broken down by gender.
