Mettl3 is critical in catalyzing N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification and plays important roles in cancers, and a few studies showed that Mettl3 conferred oncogenic impact on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression. We found that loss of Mettl3 by crossing Mettl3flox mice with Alb-Cre mice dramatically accelerated liver tumorigenesis in both chemical and oncogene-driven HCC models.
