资源简介:
The Hillside site (158Y/NhVl-2) is situated on a high terrace east of the Firth River in the center of Ivvavik National Park, northwestern Yukon Territory, Canada. The site was originally recorded by MacNeish in 1958 and the presence of a biface, a utilized cobble, several stone flakes, and a bone were comparable to the nearby Engigstciak site (30Y65/NiVk-1) with a suggested age of up to 9,500 BP (Sharon Thomson, personal communication February 4, 2014). Later investigations of the site (1995 and 2012) recovered additional fluted projectile points from the eroding terrace surface of the Hillside site, one of which was submitted for protein residue analysis to identify evidence of animals hunted in this area.
