Complete bacterial genomes from mixed microbial cultures

We took assembled metagenomic sequencing data from mixed-species cultures of microbial organisms obtained from temperate and tropical oceans around the globe (four different cultures in total). These cultures consist of a single isolated microbial eukaryote species, co-cultured with a number of unidentified bacterial species. From these metagenomic assemblies we identified the contigs that represented full-length or near full-length bacterial genomes using BLAST and BUSCO.
