资源简介:
This thesis focuses on intent-driven resource management in the Edge-to-Cloud, or compute, continuum. Modern IoT applications run across nearby edge devices and remote cloud servers, but managing resources across these layers is complex and often ignores what users actually want. This research develops a system where users express their needs, such as low delay, low cost, or high reliability, in simple terms called intents. The system then automatically adjusts computing and networking resources to meet those intents. Practical tools and testbeds are built to evaluate this approach. The work shows how intent-driven management makes distributed systems more adaptive, efficient, and user-centred.
