This article discusses the implications of the National Parks Omnibus Management Act. In particular, Title II which presents multidisciplinary research and resource management as linked endeavors that together lie at the very heart of the National Park System’s purpose. Title II also requires NPS to use resource information in its decision-making, and be accountable for the impact of those decisions upon resources under its care.
