Measuring body temperature in birds – the effects of sensor type and placement on estimated temperature and metabolic rate

This paper investigates how different body temperature measurement methods affect estimates of body temperature and metabolic rate in an endothermic model species, the great tit (Parus major), across an ambient temperature range of 40°C.
