Ward2ICU

Ward2ICU is an anonymized vital signs dataset developed from 3778 medical research projects, focusing on the binary classification task of predicting patient transfers from general wards to intensive care units (ICUs). This dataset is derived from electronic health records (EHRs) of Mater Dei Hospital in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and includes continuous physiological measurement data from adult patients admitted between 2014 and 2019, with an average age of 40 years. The dataset was generated using conditional WGAN-GP to safeguard patient privacy and commercially sensitive information. Application areas of the Ward2ICU dataset include medical machine learning and bioinformatics, with the goal of optimizing medical resource allocation and improving patient care quality by utilizing machine learning models to predict whether a patient needs to be transferred to an ICU.
