Attenuation-derived datasets (Peak Delay and Qc⁻¹) for the Irpinia fault system (Southern Apennines)
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains attenuation-derived datasets used in the manuscript: “Along-strike segmentation and rheological domains in the Irpinia fault system (Southern Apennines) revealed by microseismicity and structural geology” submitted to Geophysical Research Letters (2026). The datasets include 3-D gridded models of: Peak Delay (PD) Inverse coda quality factor (Qc⁻¹) derived from microseismicity recorded by the ISNet seismic network (Southern Apennines, Italy) between 2008 and 2025. The datasets are provided as ASCII text files together with metadata documentation and methodological notes. Peak Delay values represent the time lag between the direct P-wave onset and the maximum of the S-wave envelope. Qc⁻¹ values represent inverse coda quality factor estimates derived from attenuation analysis. The attenuation analyses and spatial regionalization were performed using the MuRAT framework (De Siena et al., 2014). The resulting models were used to investigate along-strike structural and rheological segmentation within the Irpinia fault system. Waveforms and earthquake catalogues used to derive the models are publicly available through: EIDA EPOS ISNet Please refer to the associated manuscript for methodological details and geological interpretation.
