Measurements of oceanic organosulfur compounds, methane, carbon dioxide and ammonium made during the Omex-M27_1 research cruise in the North Atlantic during December 1993-January 1994

This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic carbonyl sulfide by Viet Ulshofer and Otmar Flock; oceanic methane and CO2 by Robin Kerr; and oceanic ammonium by Thomas Raabe during the Omex-M27_1 (Ocean Margin EXchange programme) research cruise in the North Atlantic. The cruise began on 29th December 1993 and ended on 17th January 1994 with a spatial coverage of +50N to +48N latitude and +4E to +14E longitude.

The data consists of:

-120 measurements of saturation of carbonyl sulfide in the water column (dissolved phase) by gas chromatography and computation from concentration.
-35 measurements of concentration of carbonyl sulfide per unit volume of the water column (dissolved phase) by gas chromatography.
-121 measurements of concentration of methane (CH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography.
-78 measurements of concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by manometry.
-114 measurements of concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colormetric autoanalysis.
