EPM 15376 was applied for on 19th January 2006 and granted to Cape Alumina Pty Ltd for a period of 5 years on 30th September 2009 to explore principally for bauxite. With three renewals the tenement now expires on 29th September 2024. The three portions of the tenement are located between 80 km and 100 km north and north northeast of Weipa, in the western part of Cape York. The tenement forms part of Metro Mining’s Bauxite Hills Mine which covers known bauxite deposits and prospective plateau areas outside the Rio Tinto Alcan mining leases between the Ducie and Skardon Rivers.
