NRS-16078 | Writs of election

This series consists of a single volume containing the writs of election for members serving in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly between 24 December 1857 and 23 August 1907.Electoral writs are issued to the returning officer in each electoral district by the Governor-General of New South Wales and direct that officer to conduct an election. The writs published in this volume list the electoral district and polling places for that district, give the name of the retuning officer for each electoral district, the date of the polling day and provide the date the writ is required to be returned.The writs were published in the New South Wales Government Gazette. These publications have been retrospectively bound together arranged in chronological order by the State Electoral Office.
