Tritium levels were monitored in the Woronora River estuary at Jannali Park (StnE5.9) downstream of the Lucas Heights Science & Technology Centre (LHSTC), and in a tributary, Forbes Creek. In 2004-05 sampling at Forbes Creek ceased and two new freshwater sites were introduced. The freshwater control site lies upstream of the LHSTC and includes flows from Heathcote Creek. The second freshwater site is downstream of the LHSTC at the causeway. Monthly grab samples were taken from all of these sites.
