Ammopiptanthus nanus miRNA under cold stress

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small endogenous single-stranded RNA molecules that regulate plant growth, development, and environmental stress response post-transcriptionally. Ammopiptanthus nanus is a relic of the Tertiary period that have survived the dramatic climate change in the Central Asia. A. nanus exhibited extremely high tolerance to low temperature. Systematic identification and expression profiling under cold stress of the miRNAs may broaden the plant miRNA repertoires and help in identifying key miRNAs contributing to the stress tolerance of A. nanus.
