Microbial sequencing of ancient human samples associated to the article "Uncovering pre-European contact leprosy in the Americas and its enduring persistence"

This dataset contains the sequencing data of microbial DNA derived from the three ancient human samples (AR0018, AR0353 and XVII-B-357) studied in the the paper "Uncovering pre-European contact leprosy in the Americas and its enduring persistence".The data have been obtained from human remains collected by archaeologists and used to study oral microbiome, infectious diseases and population genetics of human in the pre-European Americas. The raw data have been deprived of human mapping reads and phiX mapping reads. The shared data are therefore only the microbial content of the total reads. They are shared in the fastq format.
