SHARK - National marine environmental monitoring of physical and chemical parameters in Sweden since 1893.

Data is collected and analyzed according to the HELCOM Monitoring Guidelines. Data is collected with water collectors and CTD. The parameters that are analyzed vary with location and time, as a starting point there is salinity, temperature, oxygen and nutrients. Additional parameters that often occur are chlorophyll, pH and alkalinity. Deviations from the manual may occur. The monitoring is carried out by Stockholm University, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, the University of Gothenburg and Umeå University.
