The invention relates to a production cell comprising at least one machining station which has a support apparatus and a movable tool unit， and comprising a workpiece transport apparatus having a transport track. The production cell comprises at least one second machining station having a second support apparatus and a second movable tool unit. In addition， the transport track rigidly couples the first machining station and the second machining station. The productivity of a production cell of high flexibility is increased by the present invention.
