Topographic maps are landscape-descriptive maps in which the surface of the earth is represented. The DTK5 contains the essential objects of the earth's surface such as settlements, transport networks, vegetation, waters and terrain forms as well as property boundaries, boundaries of political and administrative units with names and other descriptive information. With its combination of topography and property boundaries, it forms the link between the property map and the topographic maps.
